Air & Space Forces Association (AFA)

In 2022, AFA contributed more than $230,000 to Airmen, Guardians, their spouses, and their children through twelve (12) unique scholarships. These help fund tuition, flight school, dental scholar, Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings, and even full rides to certain universities.


Allied.com Military Scholarship

Each scholarship is $1,000 and will be awarded to a few students pursuing a degree in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, business, or a similar field that could lead to a career related to logistics. Open to active duty, veterans, spouses, and dependents (including National Guard and reserves).


AMVETS Scholarships

Annually offers scholarships to our nation’s Veterans, Active Duty, Guard, and Reserves; their spouses as well as their children and grandchildren. A son, daughter or grandchild of a deceased Veteran is also eligible.


AMVETS Veteran Scholarship Program

With the support of WD-40 Company, AMVETS is offering scholarships of up to $5,000.00 for training and certification in the construction trades. Must be a an Active Duty Service Member or Veteran of the Armed Forces (including Reserves and National Guard), Spouse of Veteran, or Active Duty Member. Eligibility requires applicants to be enrolled in an eligible construction trades program. Children of Service Members are Not eligible.


American Brother Foundation Scholarship

We give scholarships to our active-duty military personnel, veterans, and/or their families, including our Gold Star families, to assist in their educational goals.  Eligible if you are a high school senior and you have a family member who has served or is currently serving in our military. Must have a verifiable military connection as a service, dependent, or a Gold Star family member. Must be currently enrolled or accepted to attend a four-year accredited college or technical institution for the upcoming semester for which the application is submitted.

Ankin Law Office Annual Scholarship for Military Veterans

The Ankin Law Office has an annual scholarship to help veterans and their dependents achieve an education at a college, university, or trade/vocational school. The $2,500 award is sent directly to the winner’s school and is to be used only for tuition. Award decision is based upon applicant’s essay.


DAV Auxiliary National Education Scholarship & Vocational Training Assistance

The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Education Scholarship Program was established to provide education scholarships for students attending an accredited college, university, or vocational school in the United States or Territory. Those full-time students who meet the established guidelines may qualify for a scholarship up to $2,500. Part-time students who meet the established guidelines may qualify for a scholarship up to $750.


Graydon & Myrth Fox Scholarship

The scholarship was established to assist individuals who are seeking to further their job skills or improve their circumstances through education by providing scholarships for Veterans who have served honorably in the United States Armed Forces or a surviving spouse, dependent child or grandchild of a U.S. Veteran. Preference will be given to wounded personnel or a surviving spouse, dependent child or grandchild of personnel killed or wounded while on active duty as a result of their service to our nation. Must be pursuing a degree at an accredited college, university, or trade school.

Keller Law Offices Annual Scholarship for Military Veterans

Keller Law Offices has an annual scholarship for military veterans and their immediate family members. Only one winner is chosen, so expect the process to be competitive. A 500-word essay is required with proof of full-time enrollment in an accredited program, whether undergraduate or postgraduate. Trade and vocational programs also qualify. The $1,000 award is sent directly to winner’s school and is to be used only for tuition.


Law Office of Matthew L. Sharp Annual Military Scholarship

The Matthew L. Sharp Annual Military Scholarship awards $1,000 to veterans and their immediate family (children or parents). To further assist with transitions back to civilian life, the scholarship covers vocational and trade schools as well as two or four-year accredited universities. Apply with proof of enrollment and an essay up to 1,500 words. Funds only apply toward tuition.


Mike Nash Memorial Scholarship Fund

The scholarship was established in 1991.  Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) established a scholarship program to provide financial assistance to: Vietnam era Veterans, dependent children, grandchildren and orphans and widows of deceased Vietnam Veterans, for costs associated with undergraduate studies at accredited educational/technical institutions.

Navy Seal Foundation Pillars of Support

Programs under our Education Pillar empower active-duty NSW personnel, their spouses and children, as well as our SEAL and SWCC post-9/11 veterans and their children, by awarding scholarships for higher education. Scholarships can be used for vocational, certificate, licensure, and post-secondary programs, such as Bachelors or Associates Degrees and may also include graduate degree scholarship opportunities for qualifying applicants.


Paralyzed Veterans of America

A PVA member, the spouse of a member, or an unmarried child (under 24 years of age) who is dependent (as defined by the IRS) on the member for principal support. Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $2,500 to full-time students and $1,000 to part-time students.


Patriot Scholarship

This 10% tuition scholarship is for students enrolling in a new program of study at Divine Mercy University who are eligible veterans, active-duty military, reservists, retired military, and/or spouse/dependents of the same.


Pat Tillman Foundation

Individuals eligible for the include Veterans and active Service Members of both pre- and post- 9/11 service; Service Members from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces including the National Guard who have served in both pre-and post 9/11 eras, as well as current spouses of the aforementioned, including surviving spouses. Must be pursuing undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, two-year, four-year, public, private, vocational, and trade degrees or certifications.

Purple Heart Foundation

The Purple Heart Foundation scholarships are available to Purple Heart recipients and their direct descendants (including spouses, children, and grandchildren) to cover costs/fees such as tuition, room & board, and other fees.


Ranger Memorial Foundation Scholarship Fund

The National Ranger Memorial Foundation, Inc. serves U.S. Army Rangers of all eras through recognition in a granite monument, display of Hall of Fame members, scholarships to deserving individuals, and assisting Ranger Families.


Troops to Teachers

The program enriches the quality of American education by helping to place mature, motivated, experienced, and dedicated personnel in our nation's classrooms.  TTT provides financial assistance, counseling, and employment referral through a network of state TTT Placement Assistance Offices.


VA Mortgage Center Scholarship

Open to current and prospective ROTC program students; Active-duty military personnel with plans to attend college; Honorably Discharged Veterans of the US military; Sons, Daughters and Spouses of Veterans or Active-duty military. Five awards bi-yearly in the amount of $1,500.


Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) - Military Scholarships
The VFW's Military Scholarship program provides 25 $3,000 scholarships annually to VFW members who are currently serving in uniform or have been discharged within the 36 months before the December 31 deadline.


Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) - Youth Scholarships

The VFW is dedicated to promoting patriotism and investing in our future generation. The Voice of Democracy audio-essay program provides high school students with the unique opportunity to receive a national first place award of $35,000 scholarship paid directly to the recipient’s American university, college or vocational/technical school. A complete list of other national scholarships range from $1,000-$21,000, and the first place winner from each VFW Department (state) wins at least a scholarship of $1,000.


Veterans United Foundation Scholarship

The Veterans United Foundation offers scholarships to disabled veterans, or surviving family members (child, spouse) of those who died from service-related incidents. Applicants must be planning to attend college or enrolled in an undergraduate or higher program. Three annual awards up to $20,000.
